Shadow is a gentle and lovable mixed breed dog that was rescued 6 years ago from the Humane Society. At the time he was estimated to be approximately 2 years old and very healthy. We have kept him in a very protective and lovable environment with a diet of dog food known to be of very “high quality” . During this past year he began showing signs of serious discomfort with his hips and back legs and he became progressively worse. A visit to the vet resulted in a diagnosis of spondylitis of the spine which causes severe stiffness and pain in the lower back and buttocks. The prescribed treatment was prednisone and pain meds. Results were very limited to none and temporary at best and we also knew that “comfort” was not our only issue. We wanted him WELL!
His condition worsened to the point that he visibly showed signs of stress in his total appearance and finally was unable to walk without serious pain. We eventually constructed a ramp at the back door to assist him in getting in and out of the house and finally he was at the point, which required that we carry him outside to go to the bathroom.

We felt it was time to put these products to the test for Shadow as well, before we would have to make the decision to mercifully put him to sleep.
We began to give him

Within 1 week, he began to shown significant signs of improvement and now – 3 months later – is back to his “old” tricks. He sits up and begs, he is able to jump into his favorite chair, he goes up and down the back steps without hesitation, he is once again chasing the rabbits and squirrels in the back yard. He plays with his toys again like a puppy and he has been restored to a happy and a healthy pet. We believe Shaklee nutrition has “saved his life”.
